Spectators: 6773 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 0) Brite Keegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beamard Robinson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 6th minute, Alfred McWilliam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beamard Robinson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Beamard Robinson came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Tawny AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beamard Robinson couldn't finish the play. In the 15th minute, Richard Silke got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Tawny AFC's Duff Costello in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Millroad's goalie prevented a goal. Brite Keegan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Duff Costello's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. The supporters of Millroad booed when Tawny AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edwin McGlynn didn't get a good kick on the ball. Richard Silke could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Enda McFrancise made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Millroad's zone, Duff Costello stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brite Keegan came out of the goal and Duff Costello tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duff Costello in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brite Keegan saved Millroad from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Finian McPhilip in the 48th minute of play forced Tawny AFC's goalkeeper Enda McFrancise to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Finian McPhilip to make the kick off. Enda McFrancise made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Finian McPhilip in the 52nd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Brosnan Lavine hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 61 minutes into the game, Finian McPhilip cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Enda McFrancise was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 64 minutes into the match, Tawny AFC's Duff Costello sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brite Keegan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Millroad's goalkeeper Brite Keegan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Duff Costello got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute, Alfred McWilliam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tawny AFC's Donahue McLiam came free and shot a quick shot against goal 80 minutes in the game, fortunately Brite Keegan had problems saving as it came toward the left post. In the 81st minute of the match Tawny AFC got a corner. Millroad's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Bairee Perth ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Duff Costello managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. The audience thought a goal was coming when Donahue McLiam got free with Brite Keegan in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Millroad's Brite Keegan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Duff Costello in the 93rd minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tawny AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
