Spectators: 6762 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 0) Clogga's Brak Hutton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpected shot in the 9th minute by Richard Silke got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 13th minute, Millroad's Barran Glen Crowe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Clogga's Dermot Dunne got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Millroad's Brite Keegan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brak Hutton in the 20th minute of play. Clogga's Brak Hutton got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Millroad getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Barran Glen Crowe hit a great ball. 28 minutes into the match, Clogga's Colmcille McBrand broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Dermot Dunne recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Millroad's Finian McPhilip in the 39th minute got a chance for a shot 39th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clogga's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Clogga booed when Millroad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barran Glen Crowe didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Dermot Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Finian McPhilip in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Banban McTommy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Millroad's Finian McPhilip in the 55th minute got a chance for a shot 55th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Clogga's goalie prevented a goal. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Clogga! Richard Silke received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Banban McTommy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brite Keegan made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Dermot Dunne sent off a good shot on target. In the 69th minute of the match, Brak Hutton tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Brite Keegan saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Beatty Holt hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dermot Dunne got free with Brite Keegan in the 72nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Barran Glen Crowe hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 78th minute Finian McPhilip shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Banban McTommy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Millroad's Richard Silke got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 81 minutes, Seosamh Ramsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Clogga and the Millroad players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 81 played minutes Clogga got a freekick which was hit by Seosamh Ramsey. Torey Willson hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. Brak Hutton had several of the Millroad's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 90 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Brite Keegan as he didn't even see the shot coming. Clogga's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
