The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Richard Silke might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loughlin McWillie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Richard Silke ran back to his position shaking his head. If Richard Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Roordan Rutherford in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brite Keegan saved Millroad from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roordan Rutherford in the 12th minute of play forced Millroad's goalkeeper Brite Keegan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Richard Silke hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Thom Glen Crowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brite Keegan having to interfere. Millroad's Brite Keegan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brion McBjarton in the 28th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Millroad's goal looked a bit too open when Dónal McPeter came free, but Brite Keegan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Richard Silke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 38 played minutes Nolagh got a freekick which was hit by Pembroke McSteve. If Roordan Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When Richard Silke came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Millroad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Richard Silke couldn't finish the play. If Richard Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brite Keegan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roordan Rutherford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brite Keegan made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Thom Glen Crowe sent off a good shot on target. Finian McPhilip might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Loughlin McWillie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Finian McPhilip ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 67th minute Roordan Rutherford shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brite Keegan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roordan Rutherford struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Brite Keegan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nolagh. 72 minutes into the match, Nolagh's goal looked a bit too open when Finian McPhilip came free, but Loughlin McWillie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Brite Keegan was a little too slow when Roordan Rutherford got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 0-1. Brite Keegan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roordan Rutherford, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. If Richard Silke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nolagh's Beothach Delaney shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Brite Keegan but with some difficulty. If Roordan Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Millroad's Brite Keegan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 92nd minute of the match, managed to save Millroad from getting a goal against them. Nolagh's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
