Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) Stroove FC's Brenainn McPhil started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Donal Gollogley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Heremon Lavine tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Breffni Holt was out of position in the 4 minute of play, and Bracken McPhilip capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Bracken McPhilip really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Stroove FC's Heremon Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerald Savic in the 9th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Barin Gallagher in the 11th minute of play forced Stroove FC's goalkeeper Heremon Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Garristown Utd's Barin Gallagher in the 18th minute got a chance for a shot 18th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Stroove FC's goalie prevented a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Stroove FC's goal looked a bit too open when Barin Gallagher came free, but Heremon Lavine reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Heremon Lavine stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Barin Gallagher's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rowe McJohnny in the 25th minute of play forced Stroove FC's goalkeeper Heremon Lavine to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Barin Gallagher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Declan McAaron took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Heremon Lavine. Stroove FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Gerald Savic managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garristown Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerald Savic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heremon Lavine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 32 played minutes Stroove FC got a freekick which was hit by Raymun Harkin. Heremon Lavine didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Barin Gallagher went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Barin Gallagher in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Heremon Lavine saved Stroove FC from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Barin Gallagher in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Heremon Lavine prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Stroove FC's zone, Barin Gallagher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heremon Lavine came out of the goal and Barin Gallagher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stroove FC's Heremon Lavine played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barin Gallagher in the 45th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Barin Gallagher cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Heremon Lavine was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After the first half Garristown Utd were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

53 minutes into the game, Barin Gallagher recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Heremon Lavine. Barin Gallagher showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Lee Cassin hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Heremon Lavine acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 58th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Declan McAaron. The audience was convinced that Barin Gallagher's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Heremon Lavine was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. Barin Gallagher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Barin Gallagher managed to get in a good position for a shot. Garristown Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Barin Gallagher was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Heremon Lavine breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Stroove FC getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Bracken McPhilip hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Barin Gallagher got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Garristown Utd's Rowe McJohnny got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Heremon Lavine came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Garristown Utd's Donal Gollogley. But to his dismay, Donal Gollogley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. Barin Gallaghers short, quick shot in the 90thth minute got Heremon Lavine to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 93rd minute, Gerald Savic ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Heremon Lavine was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-9. After a defensive mix-up in Stroove FC's zone, Barin Gallagher stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Heremon Lavine came out of the goal and Barin Gallagher tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
