Without hesitation aimed to the right of Coran Mulvihill, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. With a little luck, Annesbrook's Coran Mulvihill got control of the ball when Barin Gallagher tried to sneak it across the goal line. 22 minutes into the match, Barin Gallagher had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Coran Mulvihill. Breffni Holt was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 31st minute of the match Theodore Dunne sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Coran Mulvihill skillfully saved the ball. When the match clock showed 34 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Barin Gallagher sped through Annesbrook's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Coran Mulvihill. If Barin Gallagher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Annesbrook's Coran Mulvihill proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Annesbrook from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute Barin Gallagher shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Coran Mulvihill saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pearce Horgan was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute, Annesbrook's Bantry Gillmour ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Breffni Holt. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Coran Mulvihill prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Annesbrook's Bressail Callaghan got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Garristown Utd's Fintan Colwell couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 84th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Annesbrook. Rowe McJohnny sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Barin Gallagher fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Coran Mulvihill having to interfere. But to his dismay, Barin Gallagher quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-2. There was no doubt that Garristown Utd were the better team. Garristown Utd's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
