Kilronan's Bow Colwell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Barin Gallagher in the 8th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Kilronan's goal looked a bit too open when Barin Gallagher came free, but Bow Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Rowe McJohnny fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Garristown Utd's protests and gave Rowe McJohnny a yellow card for diving instead. Rowe McJohnny kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 24th minute Kilronan were awarded a corner. Torran Palmer went to the cornerflag to take it. Tipper Deery hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The supporters of Kilronan booed when Garristown Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tipper Deery didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torran Palmer struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Breffni Holt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilronan. Breffni Holt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dugan McDonald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Breffni Holt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brenan Caffrey in the 65th minute of play. Breffni Holt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dugan McDonald in the 68th minute of the match. If Barin Gallagher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Garristown Utd's Gerald Savic quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Brenan Caffrey, made in the 77th minute of the game. After having played for 78 minutes, Barin Gallagher managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Garristown Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barin Gallagher was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Brenan Caffrey made a precise shot to the right of Breffni Holt. Garristown Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 86th match minute, Kilronan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dugan McBrand to maneuver through the defense. Gerald Savic charged in rather forcefully in the 88th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerald Savic the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gerald Savic hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. In the 91st minute Dugan McDonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Breffni Holt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rowe McJohnny recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patraic Caffrey's late challenge caught a Garristown Utd's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patraic Caffrey helped the player get up and apologised. Kilronan were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
