Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Tromra's Breannain Hutton started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Torran Palmer fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kilronan's protests and gave Torran Palmer a yellow card for diving instead. Torran Palmer kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. After 5 played minutes Kilronan got a freekick which was hit by Dugan McBrand. Bow Colwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dolan McTommy, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Tromra's goal looked a bit too open when Dugan McDonald came free, but Tobin Matthews reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Tromra getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Paud McWill hit a great ball. A collision led to Kilronan getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Blanaid Dimson hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dugan McDonald in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tobin Matthews saved Tromra from getting behind. After some careless play in the Tromra defense, Gordon Gollogley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tobin Matthews. The Tromra fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobin Matthews should have stopped the shot. Tromra's Tobin Matthews played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dugan McDonald in the 25th minute of play. The supporters of Kilronan booed when Tromra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blanche Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gordon Gollogley struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Tobin Matthews didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilronan. In the 31stth minute of the game Dugan McDonald who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tromra's Tobin Matthews was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Tromra getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Blanche Cronin hit a great ball. Blanche Cronin charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blanche Cronin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Kilronan booed when Tromra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blanche Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dugan McDonald received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Tobin Matthews tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blanche Cronin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Dugan McDonald made the kick off in the second half. Paud McWill's late challenge caught a Kilronan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Paud McWill helped the player get up and apologised. Paud McWill hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Dugan McDonald's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Tobin Matthews skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The supporters of Tromra booed when Kilronan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dugan McDonald didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Dugan McDonald had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tobin Matthews. Tromra's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dugan McDonald was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Dugan McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Blanaid Dimson came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Kilronan fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Blanaid Dimson couldn't finish the play. If Joshua Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bow Colwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Todd Quinnless, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. When the match clock showed 80 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Dugan McDonald sped through Tromra's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tobin Matthews. Patraic Caffrey kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Kilronan's Dugan McDonald got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over Kilronan could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Tromra throughout the match.
