Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Killbride Utd's Herygh Horgan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 4 minutes, Barrie McBrandon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killbride Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Barrie McBrandon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Branson Savic managed to get in a good position for a shot. Killbride Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Branson Savic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gearóid Dimson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Branson Savic could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Gearóid Dimson made a huge save. With a little luck, Ballinamult Utd's Gearóid Dimson got control of the ball when Branson Savic tried to sneak it across the goal line. 15 minutes into the game, Cormac Caffey was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballinamult Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Killbride Utd the free kick. Cormac Caffey hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Brogan McBrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blamhac Frankson in the 19th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Kevion Deery had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. A collision led to Killbride Utd getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Barrie McBrandon hit a great ball. Gearóid Dimson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Herygh Horgan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Ballinamult Utd's zone, Branson Savic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gearóid Dimson came out of the goal and Branson Savic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gearóid Dimson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Branson Savic in the 36th minute. In the 38thth minute of the game Herygh Horgan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ballinamult Utd's Gearóid Dimson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute of the match Garrett McIan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gearóid Dimson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

If Blamhac Frankson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blamhac Frankson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 61stth minute, Brogan McBrand skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Killbride Utd's Branson Savic got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Herygh Horgan in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gearóid Dimson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Torrey McJames in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gearóid Dimson saved Ballinamult Utd from getting behind. If Branson Savic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Gearóid Dimson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herygh Horgan's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. In the 76th minute, Boyce Willson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Branson Savic in the 77th minute of play forced Ballinamult Utd's goalkeeper Gearóid Dimson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gearóid Dimson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herygh Horgan, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Torrey McJames kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Killbride Utd's Branson Savic nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gearóid Dimson made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. 89 minutes into the match, Branson Savic had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gearóid Dimson. Ballinamult Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Branson Savic was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The supporters of Ballinamult Utd booed when Killbride Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrie McBrandon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gearóid Dimson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herygh Horgan in the 99th minute of play.
