Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5550, Seating: 1806, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Balor Robinson started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute Boroimhe Martyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Sheridan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ballysheedy's Comhghall Sheridan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Boroimhe Martyn in the 4th minute of play. Boroimhe Martyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Comhghall Sheridan made a huge save. In the 10th minute, Liam Prunty hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kerrigan McIan charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kerrigan McIan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 14th minute, Brin Dunne made a precise shot to the right of Comhghall Sheridan. Ballysheedy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 20th minute Balor Robinson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Comhghall Sheridan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Comhghall Sheridan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Boroimhe Martyn showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 26 minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 30 minutes into the game, when Brin Dunne put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of DS Wesrt:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Ballysheedy:s goal. The referee gave Ballysheedy a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Philib McStephen, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of DS Wesrt's Alfred Hamilton. 2-2. Balor Robinson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Comhghall Sheridan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 36 played minutes DS Wesrt got a freekick which was hit by Boroimhe Martyn. Alfred Hamilton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bresal McFrank in the 37th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Boroimhe Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. DS Wesrt's supporters rose to their feet, but Boroimhe Martyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Comhghall Sheridan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfred Hamilton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bresal McFrank, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Comhghall Sheridan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Balor Robinson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-2 in the 42 minute of play. In the 46th minute Ardán Kirby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfred Hamilton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ardán Kirby to make the kick off. Ardán Kirby could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Alfred Hamilton made a huge save. After a rather tough play, DS Wesrt's Nollaig Horgan got a free kick in the 58th minute. 63 minutes into the match, DS Wesrt's goalkeeper Alfred Hamilton had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Davie Brennan. Alfred Hamilton didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bresal McFrank went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. Philib McStephen scored 3-4 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alfred Hamilton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Balor Robinson in the 74th minute of play forced Ballysheedy's goalkeeper Comhghall Sheridan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Balor Robinson managed to get in a good position for a shot. DS Wesrt's supporters rose to their feet, but Balor Robinson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Comhghall Sheridan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by DS Wesrt's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kerrigan McIan was slow to take the kick. During this time Ballysheedy's players had a chance to rest. If Ardán Kirby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Balor Robinson fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored DS Wesrt's protests and gave Balor Robinson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to DS Wesrt getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Balor Robinson hit a great ball. With a little luck, DS Wesrt's Alfred Hamilton got control of the ball when Bresal McFrank tried to sneak it across the goal line. Comhghall Sheridan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boroimhe Martyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. The Ballysheedy players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
