An unexpectedly hard shot by Pierce Moran in the 5th minute of play forced Legland's goalkeeper Fionntán McAlphie to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beanon Keegan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 6th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randal Gillmour in the 10th minute of play forced Drumcliffe's goalkeeper Ferdia McTom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Beanon Keegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Fionntán McAlphie tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rolan McWill fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Drumcliffe's protests and gave Rolan McWill a yellow card for diving instead. Rolan McWill kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Pierce Moran's late challenge caught a Legland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierce Moran helped the player get up and apologised. Pierce Moran kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Ricard McAlphie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 minutes of play, Legland's Rian Ramsey made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ferdia McTom was left in no man's land by his defense there! 28 minutes into the game, Blamhac Keegan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Legland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Drumcliffe the free kick. After a rather tough play, Legland's Blamhac Keegan got a free kick in the 28th minute. Ferdia McTom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randal Gillmour, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Randal Gillmour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierce Moran might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fionntán McAlphie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pierce Moran ran back to his position shaking his head. 37 minutes into the match, Pierce Moran notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Legland's Fionntán McAlphie. Fionntán McAlphie was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Beanon Keegan struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Fionntán McAlphie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Drumcliffe. If Pierce Moran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rian Ramsey charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rian Ramsey the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Rian Ramsey kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Beanon Keegan was the one to do the kick off. If Suibhne McCollion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Randal Gillmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdia McTom having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ricard McAlphie during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 61 minutes, Beanon Keegan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Drumcliffe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beanon Keegan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Legland's Fionntán McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beanon Keegan in the 66th minute of play. Randal Gillmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferdia McTom having to interfere. In the 70th match minute, Legland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brazil McAlphie to maneuver through the defense. Ferdia McTom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Randal Gillmour in the 74th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Suibhne McCollion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Legland defense, Beanon Keegan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fionntán McAlphie. The Legland fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fionntán McAlphie should have stopped the shot. If Beanon Keegan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Legland's Fionntán McAlphie played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Beanon Keegan in the 86th minute of play. In the 86th match minute, Legland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blamhac Keegan to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Drumcliffe booed when Legland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rian Ramsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Beanon Keegan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fionntán McAlphie having to interfere. Drumcliffe walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
