Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Beachain McOliver started the match with the kick off. Suibhne McCollion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Rylee Moran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rylee Moran took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Randal Gillmour, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, Ballyeighan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tyrone Doyle to maneuver through the defense. 16 minutes into the match, Suibhne McCollion had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rylee Moran. Ballyeighan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Suibhne McCollion was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Rylee Moran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Suibhne McCollion in the 20th minute of play. Cathal Dempsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cathal Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fionntán McAlphie showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beachain McOliver in the 36th minute of the match. Beachain McOliver struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Fionntán McAlphie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyeighan. Cathal Dempsey might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fionntán McAlphie. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cathal Dempsey ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The wind increased when Randal Gillmour made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Ballyeighan booed when Legland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rian Ramsey didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 52 played minutes Ballyeighan got a freekick which was hit by Donlan Mullan. When Suibhne McCollion came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the Legland fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Suibhne McCollion couldn't finish the play. In the 64th minute of the match, Suibhne McCollion got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rylee Moran was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 71 minutes into the match, Legland's goal looked a bit too open when Beachain McOliver came free, but Fionntán McAlphie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Ballyeighan's Cathal Dempsey sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fionntán McAlphie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Randal Gillmour blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rylee Moran having to make a save. After 87 played minutes Legland got a freekick which was hit by Rian Ramsey. Cathal Dempsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Legland's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
