Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Briain Doyle kicked off to start the match. Randal Gillmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caoilte Mullan having to interfere. Caoilte Mullan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Randal Gillmour in the 9th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Randal Gillmour dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Caoilte Mullan, 1-0. Randal Gillmour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caoilte Mullan having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Suibhne McCollion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gordan Martyn in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fionntán McAlphie saved Legland from getting behind. Gordan Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Legland's zone, Gordan Martyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fionntán McAlphie came out of the goal and Gordan Martyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baydan Frankson kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Gordan Martyn managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballinakill AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Gordan Martyn was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fionntán McAlphie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 46 minutes into the match, Legland's goal looked a bit too open when Briain Doyle came free, but Fionntán McAlphie reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

With a little luck, Legland's Fionntán McAlphie got control of the ball when Briain Doyle tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th match minute, Legland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Randal Gillmour to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th match minute, Ballinakill AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Briain Doyle to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Ballinakill AFC's zone, Randal Gillmour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caoilte Mullan came out of the goal and Randal Gillmour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Ballinakill AFC's Boyce Todd got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Legland's Randal Gillmour in the 79th minute got a chance for a shot 79th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballinakill AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Randal Gillmour struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Caoilte Mullan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Legland. When Conleth Brennan fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ballinakill AFC's protests and gave Conleth Brennan a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Randal Gillmour in the 84th minute of play forced Ballinakill AFC's goalkeeper Caoilte Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fionntán McAlphie made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gordan Martyn in the 88th minute. In the 91st minute, Ballinakill AFC's Gordan Martyn ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fionntán McAlphie. Fionntán McAlphie yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After 94 played minutes, Ballinakill AFC's Brine Glen Crowe shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fionntán McAlphie came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ballinakill AFC reached it. When Gordan Martyn came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Ballinakill AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gordan Martyn couldn't finish the play. Ballinakill AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
