Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Herygh Horgan made the kick off which started today's match. Torrey McJames struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Fionntán McAlphie didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killbride Utd. Brogan McBrand came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Legland's Suibhne McCollion. But to his dismay, Suibhne McCollion quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Blamhac Keegan charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blamhac Keegan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Killbride Utd booed when Legland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Blamhac Keegan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Herygh Horgan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fionntán McAlphie read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. If Randal Gillmour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Emmet McFrank hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Killbride Utd's Branson Savic sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fionntán McAlphie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Brogan McBrand showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Blamhac Keegan in the 39th minute of the match. In the 39th match minute, Killbride Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brede McSteven to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Suibhne McCollion in the 41st minute of play forced Killbride Utd's goalkeeper Brogan McBrand to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Suibhne McCollion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The wind increased when Randal Gillmour made the kick off in the second half. Suibhne McCollion blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Brogan McBrand having to make a save. Killbride Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 56th minute, when Randal Gillmour scored to the left of an out of position Brogan McBrand, making the score, 0-2. After a rather tough play, Legland's Rian Ramsey got a free kick in the 66th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Killbride Utd's Roordan McPeter tried to score from far away in the 67th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Killbride Utd's zone, Randal Gillmour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brogan McBrand came out of the goal and Randal Gillmour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Branson Savic scored 1-2 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fionntán McAlphie, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Brogan McBrand made an important save on a dangerous shot by Suibhne McCollion in the 78th minute. Legland's Suibhne McCollion got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Branson Savic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Herygh Horgan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fionntán McAlphie was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
