In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballinakill AFC's goalkeeper Caoilte Mullan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Briain Doyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ballinakill AFC's Gordan Martyn got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Briain Doyle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Gearóid Dimson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Gearóid Dimson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Briain Doyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. The supporters of Ballinamult Utd booed when Ballinakill AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Briain McWillie didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caoilte Mullan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Blamhac Frankson in the 21st minute. In the 27th minute, Boyce Willson fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Blamhac Frankson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Boyce Todd during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Boyce Todd hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. 31 minutes into the match, Ballinamult Utd's Boyce Willson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caoilte Mullan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 32nd minute, Conleth Brennan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gearóid Dimson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gordan Martyn in the 34th minute of the match. Kevion Deery hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Gordan Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 38th minute of the game, Boyce Todd landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Cianán Morrison's late challenge caught a Ballinakill AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cianán Morrison helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ballinakill AFC booed when Ballinamult Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. With a little luck, Ballinakill AFC's Caoilte Mullan got control of the ball when Blamhac Frankson tried to sneak it across the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Boyce Willson was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Donavon Harkin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballinakill AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ballinamult Utd the free kick. After 51 played minutes Ballinakill AFC got a freekick which was hit by Donavon Harkin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Blamhac Frankson in the 60th minute of play forced Ballinakill AFC's goalkeeper Caoilte Mullan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Boyce Willson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 62 minutes into the match, Ballinamult Utd's goalkeeper Gearóid Dimson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gordan Martyn. Blamhac Frankson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caoilte Mullan having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Ballinamult Utd's goalkeeper Gearóid Dimson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gordan Martyn. After a rather tough play, Ballinamult Utd's Bedilia Quinnless got a free kick in the 68th minute. Donavon Harkin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gearóid Dimson having to interfere. Ballinamult Utd's defense didn't have a chance, in the 77th minute, when Donavon Harkin scored to the left of an out of position Gearóid Dimson, making the score, 0-2. Gordan Martyn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Gearóid Dimson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gearóid Dimson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gordan Martyn went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Cianán Morrison kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Gearóid Dimson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Briain Doyle in the 95th minute. If Gordan Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
