Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) Cáirbre Caffrey made the kick off and thus started the match. Bowie Deans showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teagan McMichel in the 3rd minute of the match. After having played for 9 minutes, Harold Doyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Derrynagun's supporters crossed their fingers, but Harold Doyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bowie Deans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harold Doyle in the 17th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Derrynagun's corner Blamhac Dillon fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bowie Deans quite easily take care of the ball. In the 24th minute of the match, Cáirbre Caffrey tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Brett McSteve saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Bowie Deans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Harold Doyle went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Cáirbre Caffrey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Glanawaddra's Cáirbre Caffrey got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teagan McMichel took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bowie Deans. Bowie Deans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. A collision led to Glanawaddra getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Timothy Dempsey hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute, Blamhac Dillon sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Glanawaddra's Bowie Deans didn't even have to move. Derrynagun's Harold Doyle got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Teagan McMichel made the kick off in the second half. Teagan McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bowie Deans having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Teagan McMichel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Derrynagun's supporters rose to their feet, but Teagan McMichel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bowie Deans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Teagan McMichel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th match minute, Glanawaddra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Blaine Molloy to maneuver through the defense. Cáirbre Caffrey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brett McSteve having to interfere. 69 minutes into the match, Glanawaddra's goal looked a bit too open when Teagan McMichel came free, but Bowie Deans reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Blaire John hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Harold Doyle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Bowie Deans tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cáirbre Caffrey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Harold Doyle was extremely unlucky when he, in the 78th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Teagan McMichel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bowie Deans having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Teagan McMichel fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Denny Morrison hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. The Glanawaddra fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Derrynagun were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
