Lou Ferguson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Berry Crowe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dewain McWill in the 23rd minute of play. The Kilmacshane fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Kilmacshane's Dewain McWill looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Teddy McFrank showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lou Ferguson, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Berry Crowe made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bedilia Glen Crowe in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Braonain Martyn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute of the match Breadan Moran sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Berry Crowe skillfully saved the ball. If Brant Harkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bell McWill hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute, Brant Harkin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Brant Harkin was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th match minute, Kilmacshane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ross Bayes to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Brant Harkin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Teddy McFrank was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Kilmacshane's Joseph McWill got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Braedon Cronin's late challenge caught a Rosdaul's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Braedon Cronin helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Kilmacshane getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Braedon Cronin hit a great ball. A hard shot by Bairthmead Prunty from long distance, 66 minutes into the match, got Teddy McFrank's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. After 70th play minutes Dewain McWill shot 2-0, a short shot which went by Berry Crowe and just under the crossbar into goal. Lou Ferguson scored 2-1 in the 74th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teddy McFrank, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Teddy McFrank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brant Harkin in the 84th minute of play. In the 95th minute, Dewain McWill left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kilmacshane fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Rosdaul's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
