After having played for 13 minutes, Alfred MaCollin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lee Delaney was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bairne Matthews showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Bradagain Gillmour hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Bairne Matthews was extremely unlucky when he, in the 21st minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Alfred MaCollin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lee Delaney having to interfere. Ranns FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alfred MaCollin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Ranns FC's Shea McVictor got a free kick in the 38th minute. A collision led to Ballintlea getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Bairne Matthews hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bairne Matthews made a kick off. When the match clock showed 58 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Bairne Matthews sped through Ranns FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lee Delaney. 63 minutes into the game, Scot McPeter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballintlea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ranns FC the free kick. The supporters of Ranns FC booed when Ballintlea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Scot McPeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Ballintlea's Bairne Matthews sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lee Delaney narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 73 played minutes Ranns FC got a freekick which was hit by Beartlai Doyle. 79 minutes into the game, Alfred MaCollin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Lee Delaney was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 85th minute, Bailey Gillmour got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfred MaCollin in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lee Delaney saved Ranns FC from getting behind. After 89 minutes, Bailey Gillmour mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ranns FC and the Ballintlea players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ranns FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Bailey Gillmour hit a great ball. Bairne Matthews scored 6-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lee Delaney, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Bradagain Gillmour kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Ballintlea were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ranns FC for a fine match.
