Fiachra Hutton made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Fionntán Dillon sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute, Alfred MaCollin made a precise shot to the right of Rowan Glen Crowe. Bogare's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Fionntán Dillon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fiachra Hutton having to interfere. 15 minutes into the game, Devlin McPeter was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballintlea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Bogare the free kick. A collision led to Ballintlea getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Devlin McPeter hit a great ball. Ballintlea were awarded a corner in the 19th minute after Bogare's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gilian Gallagher took the corner. The corner ended in Gilian Gallagher almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Bogare's Rowan Glen Crowe did a great save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Conleth Ramsey during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. During the 25th minute of the match Pierce Todd completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Pierce Todd a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ballintlea's Fiachra Hutton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Ballintlea from getting a goal against them. Alfred MaCollin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rowan Glen Crowe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Alfred MaCollin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rowan Glen Crowe was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. After a rather tough play, Ballintlea's Gilian Gallagher got a free kick in the 44th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bairne Matthews to make the kick off. Alfred MaCollin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 74thth minute tested the skills of Rowan Glen Crowe when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 76 minutes into the match, Bairne Matthews dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rowan Glen Crowe, 1-2. After a rather tough play, Bogare's Darby Lester got a free kick in the 79th minute. If Alfred MaCollin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ballintlea's zone, Fionntán Dillon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fiachra Hutton came out of the goal and Fionntán Dillon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A hard shot 86 in the game by Alfred MaCollin from a close distance when the talented Rowan Glen Crowe managed to make a qualified save. Bogare's players were relieved. After 88 played minutes Ballintlea got a freekick which was hit by Gilian Gallagher. Devlin McPeter got his second yellow card in the match during the 96th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Devlin McPeter hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Fiachra Hutton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fionntán Dillon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ballintlea walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
