Spectators: 6772 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1772, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Royan McBjarton got the match started through his kick off. Pierson Brennan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul McIan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Paul McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Herich McJon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierson Brennan having to interfere. Pierson Brennan came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Colnamona Utd's Herich McJon. But to his dismay, Herich McJon quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 25th match minute, Colnamona Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brenan McBjarton to maneuver through the defense. Pierson Brennan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brant McNamee in the 31st minute of play. When Brant McNamee came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Colnamona Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Brant McNamee couldn't finish the play. Oughterard's Pierson Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paul McIan in the 37th minute of play. Paul McIan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierson Brennan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play. Donald Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul McIan struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Pierson Brennan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Colnamona Utd.

Oughterard's Pierson Brennan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 56th minute of the match, managed to save Oughterard from getting a goal against them. In the 59th minute, Egan O'Brien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paul McIan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Pierson Brennan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herich McJon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierson Brennan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Royan McBjarton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Oughterard's supporters rose to their feet, but Royan McBjarton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ennis Savic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egan O'Brien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ennis Savic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Egan O'Brien fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ennis Savic having to interfere. If Herich McJon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute Herich McJon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierson Brennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geoffrey McDecland hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Oughterard's Pierson Brennan got control of the ball when Paul McIan tried to sneak it across the goal line. The attack was good, but when Royan McBjarton in the 93rd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After 94 played minutes Colnamona Utd got a freekick which was hit by Donald Byrne. Royan McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle sounded Colnamona Utd left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Oughterard.
