Spectators: 6773 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Herich O'Keefe started the match with the kick off. Brenda O'Keefe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paul McIan in the 4th minute of the match. Brenda O'Keefe stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Herich McJon's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Brenda O'Keefe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herich McJon in the 8th minute of play. Brenda O'Keefe didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paul McIan went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After having played for 18 minutes, Herich O'Keefe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Killbarly FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Herich O'Keefe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Herich McJon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brenda O'Keefe having to interfere. Herich McJon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Brenda O'Keefe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Herich O'Keefe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Herich McJon sped through Killbarly FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Brenda O'Keefe. Paul McIan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Brenda O'Keefe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bradner Gallagher's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 36thth minute, Ennis Savic skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Donald Byrne during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute, Donald Byrne hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herich McJon in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Brenda O'Keefe saved Killbarly FC from getting behind. Paul McIan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Colnamona Utd were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Herich McJon made the kick off in the second half. Herich McJon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brenda O'Keefe having to interfere. Bradner Gallagher sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bradner Gallagher in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ennis Savic saved Colnamona Utd from getting behind. The Killbarly FC fans' excitement grew in the 65th match minute when Killbarly FC's Bradner Gallagher looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. A collision led to Colnamona Utd getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Tomás McFrank hit a great ball. After having played for 69 minutes, Paul McIan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Colnamona Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paul McIan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Paul McIan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Colnamona Utd booed when Killbarly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Braonain Taylor didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Herich McJon came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Colnamona Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Herich McJon couldn't finish the play. Brenda O'Keefe made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Paul McIan sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Herich McJon in the 88th minute of play forced Killbarly FC's goalkeeper Brenda O'Keefe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bradner Gallagher struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Ennis Savic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Killbarly FC. Paul McIan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Brenda O'Keefe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Herich McJon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match was over Colnamona Utd could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Killbarly FC throughout the match.
