Barclay Ferguson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bradain Rutherford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 21 minutes of play, Ballyboughal's Torran McPaul made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rordan Lester was left in no man's land by his defense there! Torran McPaul struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Rordan Lester didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyboughal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Torran McPaul to make the kick off.
