Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Herich McJon got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Colnamona Utd's zone, Torran McPaul stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ennis Savic came out of the goal and Torran McPaul tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ennis Savic took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Brennen Moran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torran McPaul blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ennis Savic having to make a save. In the 10th minute, Brennen Moran made a precise shot to the right of Ennis Savic. Colnamona Utd's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The Ballyboughal fans' excitement grew in the 13th match minute when Ballyboughal's Brennen Moran looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Colnamona Utd's Ennis Savic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bevin Molloy in the 16th minute of play. Ennis Savic made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torran McPaul in the 18th minute of play. In the 26th minute Torran McPaul shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennis Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brant McNamee during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brennen Moran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 31st minute, Brant McNamee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience was convinced that Torran McPaul's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ennis Savic was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. Ennis Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brennen Moran in the 42nd minute of the match. Colnamona Utd's Ennis Savic played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brennen Moran in the 44th minute of play. If Torran McPaul had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Torran McPaul to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51st match minute, Ballyboughal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiachra McNamee to maneuver through the defense. Brennen Moran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Ennis Savic tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Colnamona Utd getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Brenan McBjarton hit a great ball. Barclay Ferguson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donald Byrne in the 61st minute of play. Ennis Savic was a little too slow when Fiachra McNamee got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 63rd minute. The score was now 0-5. Torran McPaul struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Ennis Savic didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballyboughal. Ballyboughal's Barclay Ferguson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Herich McJon in the 69th minute of play. When Torran McPaul came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Ballyboughal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Torran McPaul couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brennen Moran in the 87th minute of play forced Colnamona Utd's goalkeeper Ennis Savic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dennis McBrand had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute Brennen Moran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ennis Savic saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Ballyboughal left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Colnamona Utd.
