After a defensive mix-up in Killbarly FC's zone, Finian McPhil stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brenda O'Keefe came out of the goal and Finian McPhil tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cahir McAlphie kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 28 minutes, Brakawn McJohn mouthed his way into the referee's book. After 39 played minutes Killbarly FC got a freekick which was hit by Desmond McAaron. Brakawn McJohn kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Killbarly FC booed when Liscanor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beccan Taylor didn't get a good kick on the ball. Liscanor's Bohannon Murphy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Desmond McAaron in the 47th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Killbarly FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Herich O'Keefe hit a great ball. Liscanor's Bohannon Murphy proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Liscanor from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Killbarly FC's Bohannon Murphy threw himself towards the right post 64 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Herich O'Keefe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 66th match minute, Liscanor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Brakawn McJohn to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot by Cahir McAlphie from long distance, 67 minutes into the match, got Bohannon Murphy's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Killbarly FC booed when Liscanor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beccan Taylor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, one of Liscanor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Liscanor. Bohannon Murphy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Braonain Taylor, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. The supporters of Liscanor booed when Killbarly FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Killbarly FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
