Seating: 1768, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Donegal Jameson took the kick off in the first half of the match. Creggolympry's Bannan MaCollin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Royan McBjarton in the 4th minute of play. Royan McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Egan O'Brien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tormaigh Gough hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Brannan Ramsey, 26 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Berkeley Myler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donegal Jameson in the 30th minute of play forced Oughterard's goalkeeper Pierson Brennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pierson Brennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donegal Jameson, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. After 34th play minutes Berkeley Myler shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Pierson Brennan and just under the crossbar into goal. When Royan McBjarton came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Oughterard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Royan McBjarton couldn't finish the play. Creggolympry's Bannan MaCollin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Creggolympry from getting a goal against them. If Royan McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The wind increased when Royan McBjarton made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Creggolympry's Heremon Hunt got a free kick in the 58th minute. Berkeley Myler could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Pierson Brennan made a huge save. In the 69th minute, Berkeley Myler made a precise shot to the right of Pierson Brennan . Oughterard's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 1-3 became the score in the 86th minute when Berkeley Myler elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Phelim McFrancise hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The Creggolympry players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
