Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Breanainn Rutherford started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Oughterard's zone, Harold Dempsey stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierson Brennan came out of the goal and Harold Dempsey tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pierson Brennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breanainn Rutherford, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Oughterard's zone, Breanainn Rutherford stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pierson Brennan came out of the goal and Breanainn Rutherford tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bradain Rutherford sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierson Brennan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Breanainn Rutherford in the 14th minute of the match. Geoffrey McDecland hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Breanainn Rutherford managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clonebud Utd's supporters rose to their feet, but Breanainn Rutherford was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pierson Brennan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Oughterard's Pierson Brennan got control of the ball when Harold Dempsey tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 20 played minutes Clonebud Utd got a freekick which was hit by Bradain Rutherford. When Egan O'Brien came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Oughterard fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egan O'Brien couldn't finish the play. Harold Dempseys short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Pierson Brennan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 29th match minute, Oughterard was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berach Lester to maneuver through the defense. If Breanainn Rutherford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Oughterard fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 36th minute. Penalty! Clonebud Utd's Harold Dempsey got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Harold Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Royan McBjarton was the one to do the kick off. Clonebud Utd's Harold Dempsey got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 58 minutes, Geoffrey McDecland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oughterard and the Clonebud Utd players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Oughterard getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Geoffrey McDecland hit a great ball. If Harold Dempsey had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harold Dempsey in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pierson Brennan saved Oughterard from getting behind. Pierson Brennan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Harold Dempsey's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Egan O'Brien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Rordan Lester tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rordan Lester took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Royan McBjarton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Oughterard fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 79th minute. Penalty! Pierson Brennan went to the wrong direction when Nolyn Taylor was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Breanainn Rutherford in the 83rd minute of play forced Oughterard's goalkeeper Pierson Brennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breanainn Rutherford's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pierson Brennan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 94th minute Harold Dempsey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pierson Brennan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clonebud Utd's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
