Spectators: 6780 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1780, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Royan McBjarton started the match with the kick off. If Bell Dunne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierson Brennan came out of the goal in the 5th minute to try and stop a shot by Corroy's Bell Dunne. But to his dismay, Bell Dunne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Pierson Brennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dónal Cronin, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. After a rather tough play, Oughterard's Berach Lester got a free kick in the 8th minute. When Dónal Cronin came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Corroy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dónal Cronin couldn't finish the play. Herich Tierney made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Royan McBjarton in the 16th minute of play. Egan O'Brien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Herich Tierney tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Corroy getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Berchan Rogers hit a great ball. After 28 minutes of play, Oughterard's Egan O'Brien made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Herich Tierney was left in no man's land by his defense there! Dónal Cronin hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When Geoffrey McDecland fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oughterard's protests and gave Geoffrey McDecland a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Oughterard's Geoffrey McDecland got a free kick in the 34th minute. Baodan Doyle kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Oughterard's goal looked a bit too open when Bell Dunne came free, but Pierson Brennan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Oughterard booed when Corroy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bell Dunne didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dónal Cronin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierson Brennan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bell Dunne, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bell Dunne made a kick off. When Dónal Cronin came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Corroy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dónal Cronin couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bell Dunne in the 53rd minute of play forced Oughterard's goalkeeper Pierson Brennan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th minute, Tevis McFrancise hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Corroy's Herich Tierney played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Royan McBjarton in the 64th minute of play. Brannan Ramsey's late challenge caught a Corroy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Brannan Ramsey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 67th minute, one of Oughterard:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Oughterard. Berchan Rogers hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Royan McBjarton in the 74th minute of play forced Corroy's goalkeeper Herich Tierney to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Berchan Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pierson Brennan having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Geoffrey McDecland hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Bell Dunne came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Corroy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bell Dunne couldn't finish the play. Oughterard's Pierson Brennan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bell Dunne in the 89th minute of play. Corroy's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
