The crowd rose to their feet as Coinneach Lester kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Auley Hunt. That made the score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. A collision led to Whitegate AFC getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Phelan McJon hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bran Martyn in the 10th minute of play forced Cairlinn's goalkeeper Kevion Bayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Auley Hunt was out of position in the 12 minute of play, and John McBjarton capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. John McBjarton really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. Gearoid McStephen hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Whitegate AFC's Hugh Byrne got a free kick in the 19th minute. The long shot by Barhart Kirby in the 20th minute really tested Auley Hunt's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 23 minutes into the match, Cairlinn's goal looked a bit too open when Bran Martyn came free, but Kevion Bayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevion Bayes came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Whitegate AFC's Bran Martyn. But to his dismay, Bran Martyn quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Kevion Bayes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bran Martyn's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 29 minutes into the game, Hugh Byrne was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Whitegate AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cairlinn the free kick. In the 36th minute Bran Martyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevion Bayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kevion Bayes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bran Martyn, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Bran Martyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Kevion Bayes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bran Martyn in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Whitegate AFC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Hugh Byrne hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Phelim Perth made a kick off. Priidu Koba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevion Bayes having to interfere. A collision led to Cairlinn getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Conleth Callaghan hit a great ball. 61 minutes into the match, Phelim Perth notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Cairlinn's Kevion Bayes. Kevion Bayes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Phelim Perth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevion Bayes having to interfere. After having played for 81 minutes, Phelim Perth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Whitegate AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Phelim Perth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Quinn Doherty hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Cairlinn's Conleth Callaghan got a free kick in the 84th minute. A collision led to Cairlinn getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Quinn Doherty hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cairlinn's zone, Vecdi Kabataş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevion Bayes came out of the goal and Vecdi Kabataş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baptist Mulvihill during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 96th minute, Baptist Mulvihill hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
