After a defensive mix-up in Leap FC's zone, Gearroid Gillmour stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brefni Doyle came out of the goal and Gearroid Gillmour tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flann Colwell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Brefni Doyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 10 minutes into the game, Dermod Ghee cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Kieran Branson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 16 minutes into the match, Ciarán Perth notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Kilteely's Kieran Branson. Kieran Branson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciarán Perth in the 19th minute of play forced Kilteely's goalkeeper Kieran Branson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Kilteely getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Nolen MaCollin hit a great ball. Gearroid Gillmour sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 28th minute Ciarán Perth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kieran Branson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dermod Ghee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the game, Ciarán Perth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Kieran Branson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Kilteely players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Leap FC were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Flann Colwell made a kick off. After 53 minutes, Timothy Ramsey mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilteely and the Leap FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 53rd minute, Timothy Ramsey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Ciarán Perth kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kieran Branson. That made the score 0-4 in the 54 minute of play. Dermod Ghee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 65 minutes into the game, Ciarán Perth cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Kieran Branson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kieran Branson was a little too slow when Dermod Ghee got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 71st minute. The score was now 0-6. After some careless play in the Kilteely defense, Ciarán Perth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kieran Branson. The Kilteely fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kieran Branson should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Morrison in the 78th minute of play forced Kilteely's goalkeeper Kieran Branson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dermod Ghee scored 0-8 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kieran Branson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The Kilteely fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Leap FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
