Críostóir Duggan kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Rowley McWill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevion Bayes having to interfere. In the 10th minute, Coinneach Lester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Breenan McVictor was extremely unlucky when he, in the 13th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 14th match minute, Cairlinn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Críostóir Duggan to maneuver through the defense. Rowley McWill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Kevion Bayes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Breenan McVictor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kevion Bayes was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. Dawayne McTommy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Coinneach Lester in the 22nd minute of play. Rowley McWill's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kevion Bayes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. Rowley McWill might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kevion Bayes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rowley McWill ran back to his position shaking his head. Quinn Doherty hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. In the 38th minute Breenan McVictor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevion Bayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 44 minutes, Breenan McVictor managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sligo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Breenan McVictor was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cairlinn's Kevion Bayes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Cairlinn from getting a goal against them.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Coinneach Lester stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kevion Bayes came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Sligo's Rowley McWill. But to his dismay, Rowley McWill quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Quinn Doherty kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Bram Caffrey, 63 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Cairlinn's goal looked a bit too open when Breenan McVictor came free, but Kevion Bayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute, Rowley McWill ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kevion Bayes was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. When %teams%'s Coinneach Lester was free in front of goal, he didn't hesitate to shoot 3-1 just inside the left pole, 70 minutes into the game. Dawayne McTommy was annoyed at himself for letting in the shot. In the 74th minute Coinneach Lester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dawayne McTommy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 75th minute, Baiscend McJohnny left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cairlinn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Rowley McWill helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Sligo's Rowley McWill got a free kick in the 84th minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Baiscend McJohnny managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cairlinn's supporters crossed their fingers, but Baiscend McJohnny was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Coinneach Lester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Dillon Scully hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Coinneach Lester dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dawayne McTommy, 3-3. In the 92nd match minute, Cairlinn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Críostóir Duggan to maneuver through the defense. Rowley McWill struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Kevion Bayes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sligo. In the 96th minute Breenan McVictor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kevion Bayes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
