Auley Hunt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beglan McTommy in the 15th minute of the match. A collision led to Whitegate AFC getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Baptist Mulvihill hit a great ball. Beglan McTommy kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the game, one of Maryfield:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Whitegate AFC. Phelim Perth stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Banan Deans. 1-0. When Bran Martyn came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Whitegate AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bran Martyn couldn't finish the play. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Maryfield's goalkeeper Banan Deans, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Whitegate AFC's Auley Hunt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Sheridan in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bedilia Kelly in the 34th minute of play forced Whitegate AFC's goalkeeper Auley Hunt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Ainnle Brennan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Auley Hunt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bran Martyn made a kick off. In the 57th minute, Whitegate AFC's Lewis McJohnny seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Lewis McJohnny the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Whitegate AFC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Lewis McJohnny had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Lewis McJohnny kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After having played for 59 minutes, Healy McPeter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maryfield's supporters crossed their fingers, but Healy McPeter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Phelim Perth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Whitegate AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Phelim Perth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Banan Deans breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Russ Matthews kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Whitegate AFC's Phelan McJon got a free kick in the 68th minute. Whitegate AFC's Auley Hunt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joshua Sheridan in the 69th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Whitegate AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Joshua Sheridan came free, but Auley Hunt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Phelim Perth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Vecdi Kabataş had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugh Byrne kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. The supporters of Maryfield booed when Whitegate AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugh Byrne didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Maryfield supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Maryfield would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
