Kieran Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tipraite Walker, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. Tipraite Walker recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Meenacung getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Beachain Mulvihill hit a great ball. Kilteely's Flann Colwell got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the game, Glenn Tracy was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Meenacung's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kilteely the free kick. After a rather tough play, Meenacung's Glenn Tracy got a free kick in the 15th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gearroid Gillmour got free with Darragh McMichel in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Geralt Cassin hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Kieran Branson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Glenn Tracy's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Glenn Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Kieran Branson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th match minute, Meenacung was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boland McTom to maneuver through the defense. After 39 played minutes Kilteely got a freekick which was hit by Aengus O'Down. After 41 played minutes Meenacung got a freekick which was hit by Beachain Mulvihill. Tipraite Walker hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute, Glenn Tracy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Flann Colwell to strike the kick off in the second half. Darragh McMichel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Flann Colwell, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beachain Mulvihill charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Beachain Mulvihill the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Beachain Mulvihill kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute Flann Colwell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darragh McMichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Meenacung's Beachain Mulvihill got a free kick in the 65th minute. Glenn Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Glenn Tracy received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Kilteely's zone, Coinneach McCollion stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kieran Branson came out of the goal and Coinneach McCollion tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 89 played minutes Kilteely got a freekick which was hit by Leon Rogers. If Glenn Tracy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gearroid Gillmour struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Darragh McMichel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kilteely.
