Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dermod Ghee took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd minute Quinn Doherty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Brefni Doyle saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the match, Cairlinn's goal looked a bit too open when Dermod Ghee came free, but Kevion Bayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Ciarán Perth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Brefni Doyle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quinn Doherty, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 17 minutes, Dermod Ghee mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Leap FC and the Cairlinn players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dermod Ghee kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Baiscend McJohnny struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Brefni Doyle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cairlinn. The supporters of Leap FC booed when Cairlinn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. John McBjarton didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kevion Bayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dermod Ghee in the 20th minute of the match. Brefni Doyle came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Cairlinn's Baiscend McJohnny. But to his dismay, Baiscend McJohnny quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Coinneach Lester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ciarán Perth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dermod Ghee in the 33rd minute of play forced Cairlinn's goalkeeper Kevion Bayes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Quinn Doherty hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. When the match had been going on for 38 minutes, Leap FC's Caoilte Hamilton got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Kevion Bayes. Ciarán Perth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kevion Bayes having to interfere. When Dermod Ghee came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Leap FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dermod Ghee couldn't finish the play. John McBjarton kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Coinneach Lester stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Brenn McStephen hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. If Patrick Morrison had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Cairlinn defense, Ciarán Perth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kevion Bayes. The Cairlinn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kevion Bayes should have stopped the shot. Leap FC's Dermod Ghee got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Barhart Kirby hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kevion Bayes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dermod Ghee, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kevion Bayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dermod Ghee in the 72nd minute of the match. A collision led to Cairlinn getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Quinn Doherty hit a great ball. 74 minutes into the match, Cairlinn's goal looked a bit too open when Dermod Ghee came free, but Kevion Bayes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevion Bayes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciarán Perth in the 79th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patrick Morrison during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 81st match minute, Leap FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Morrison to maneuver through the defense. After 84 played minutes Cairlinn got a freekick which was hit by Quinn Doherty. Cairlinn's Kevion Bayes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dermod Ghee in the 85th minute of play. After 87 minutes of play Leap FC's Patrick Morrison was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 88 played minutes Leap FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrick Morrison. The supporters of Leap FC booed when Cairlinn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Quinn Doherty didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kevion Bayes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ciarán Perth's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Ciarán Perth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Leap FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Cairlinn had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
