Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Reidy Glen Crowe started the match with the kick off. Darragh McMichel came out of the goal in the 3rd minute to try and stop a shot by Ballinwillin's Eoghan McBjarton. But to his dismay, Eoghan McBjarton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 7 minutes into the game, Eoghan McBjarton was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballinwillin's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Meenacung the free kick. Eoghan McBjarton kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Meenacung's Glenn Tracy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Shannon Savic narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Herygh McMichel kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Teris Sheridan's late challenge caught a Meenacung's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teris Sheridan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 10th match minute, Ballinwillin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teris Sheridan to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Meenacung's goal looked a bit too open when Reidy Glen Crowe came free, but Darragh McMichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reidy Glen Crowe might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darragh McMichel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Reidy Glen Crowe ran back to his position shaking his head. Meenacung's Darragh McMichel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eoghan McBjarton in the 18th minute of play. When Ballinwillin's Reidy Glen Crowe in the 19th minute got a chance for a shot 19th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meenacung's goalie prevented a goal. Darragh McMichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reidy Glen Crowe in the 20th minute of the match. Eoghan McBjarton might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darragh McMichel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eoghan McBjarton ran back to his position shaking his head. Reidy Glen Crowe struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Darragh McMichel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ballinwillin. When Ballinwillin's Eoghan McBjarton in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Meenacung's goalie prevented a goal. After having played for 40 minutes, Reidy Glen Crowe managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ballinwillin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reidy Glen Crowe was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 48th minute Reidy Glen Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darragh McMichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Glenn Tracy made the kick off in the second half. Berchan Crowe kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Eoghan McBjarton sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A hard shot 59 in the game by Reidy Glen Crowe from a close distance when the talented Darragh McMichel managed to make a qualified save. Meenacung's players were relieved. Darragh McMichel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Herygh McMichel, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Glenn Tracy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Meenacung's supporters rose to their feet, but Glenn Tracy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Shannon Savic breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eoghan McBjarton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Darragh McMichel having to interfere. Darragh McMichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reidy Glen Crowe in the 77th minute of play. Beachain Mulvihill kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. In the 82nd minute, Reidy Glen Crowe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Darragh McMichel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Coinneach McCollion kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. The Ballinwillin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ballinwillin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
