Shannon Savic showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bran Martyn in the 4th minute of the match. Bran Martyn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 12 played minutes Whitegate AFC got a freekick which was hit by Bran Martyn. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bran Martyn in the 19th minute of play forced Ballinwillin's goalkeeper Shannon Savic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Auley Hunt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reidy Glen Crowe in the 22nd minute of play. Baptist Mulvihill kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Ballinwillin's Auley Hunt threw himself towards the right post 34 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Reidy Glen Crowe, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tormaigh Mulvihill kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bran Martyn in the 37th minute of play forced Ballinwillin's goalkeeper Shannon Savic to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Auley Hunt was a little too slow when Herygh McMichel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 41st minute. The score was now 1-0. The Whitegate AFC fans' excitement grew in the 46th match minute when Whitegate AFC's Bran Martyn looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bran Martyn made a kick off. Bran Martyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Shannon Savic made a huge save. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballinwillin's goalkeeper Shannon Savic, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Ballinwillin's Shannon Savic got control of the ball when Bran Martyn tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bran Martyn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Shannon Savic made a huge save. Auley Hunt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herygh McMichel in the 76th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baptist Mulvihill during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 80th match minute, Whitegate AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baptist Mulvihill to maneuver through the defense. Bran Martyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 91st minute Reidy Glen Crowe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Auley Hunt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
