Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dermod Ghee started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Banan Deans came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Leap FC's Ciarán Perth. But to his dismay, Ciarán Perth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dermod Ghee in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Banan Deans saved Maryfield from getting behind. In the 11th minute of the match Brenn McStephen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Banan Deans skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bedilia Kelly got free with Brefni Doyle in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Banan Deans made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciarán Perth in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute Dermod Ghee shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Banan Deans saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 26 minutes, Ciarán Perth managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leap FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ciarán Perth was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Maryfield's Joshua Sheridan in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Leap FC's goalie prevented a goal. 46 minutes into the game, Dermod Ghee cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Banan Deans was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joshua Sheridan to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Bedilia Kelly left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Maryfield fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Bedilia Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brefni Doyle having to interfere. Irving Brennan's late challenge caught a Maryfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Irving Brennan helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dermod Ghee in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Banan Deans prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bedilia Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Brefni Doyle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Patrick Morrison took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Banan Deans. Banan Deans dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Maryfield's Bedilia Kelly got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bedilia Kelly fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brefni Doyle having to interfere. Brefni Doyle showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joshua Sheridan, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Banan Deans didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ciarán Perth went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edwin Matthews during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Healy McPeter walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post.
