Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Breaghdha Lester made the kick off which started today's match. 3 minutes into the match, Sligo's goal looked a bit too open when Breaghdha Lester came free, but Dawayne McTommy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Derin McWillie hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. After 9 minutes of play, Sligo's Rowley McWill made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Donavin Barrett was left in no man's land by his defense there! Donavin Barrett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Breenan McVictor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rowley McWill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Donavin Barrett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rowley McWill in the 17th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute of the match Patty Ferguson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dawayne McTommy skillfully saved the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Sligo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Healy Benson to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Sligo's Dillon Scully got a free kick in the 26th minute. Breenan McVictor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Donavin Barrett read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Breaghdha Lester shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dawayne McTommy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Breenan McVictor to strike the kick off in the second half. Dillon Scully kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Breaghdha Lester in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dawayne McTommy saved Sligo from getting behind. After 59 played minutes Breenan McVictor rounded Loskeran's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Derin McWillie in the 62nd minute of play forced Sligo's goalkeeper Dawayne McTommy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fionntán Murphy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dawayne McTommy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 68th minute of play. Dillon Scully charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dillon Scully the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sligo getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Dillon Scully hit a great ball. Breaghdha Lester recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dillon Scully kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Fionntán Murphy took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dawayne McTommy. Dawayne McTommy dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Rowley McWill's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Donavin Barrett firmly grabbed it by the left post. Loskeran's Donavin Barrett proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Loskeran from getting a goal against them. In the 81stth minute of the game Breaghdha Lester who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sligo's Dawayne McTommy was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sligo's Dawayne McTommy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fionntán Murphy in the 84th minute of play. Donavin Barrett had in the 90thth minute some difficulties stopping Bram Caffrey's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sligo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
