Reidy Glen Crowe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Banan Deans having to interfere. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ballinwillin's goalkeeper Shannon Savic, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Bedilia Kelly managed to get in a good position for a shot. Maryfield's supporters rose to their feet, but Bedilia Kelly was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bedilia Kelly could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Shannon Savic made a huge save. Ainnle Brennan hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. If Eoghan McBjarton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maryfield's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
