Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dermod Ghee started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, Meenacung's goal looked a bit too open when Dermod Ghee came free, but Darragh McMichel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ciarán Perth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beachain Mulvihill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brefni Doyle having to interfere. Glenn Tracy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brefni Doyle having to interfere. Darragh McMichel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciarán Perth in the 21st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Leap FC's zone, Glenn Tracy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Brefni Doyle came out of the goal and Glenn Tracy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ciarán Perth blasted a shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darragh McMichel having to make a save. Ciarán Perth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Darragh McMichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Dermod Ghee got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Morrison blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Darragh McMichel having to make a save. Glenn Tracy recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Dermod Ghee had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th match minute, Leap FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harrigan McJohnny to maneuver through the defense. When Tipraite Walker came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Meenacung fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tipraite Walker couldn't finish the play. Darragh McMichel came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Leap FC's Ciarán Perth. But to his dismay, Ciarán Perth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Glenn Tracy to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute Irving Brennan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darragh McMichel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Irving Brennan took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Darragh McMichel. Darragh McMichel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. 71 minutes into the match, Meenacung's Glenn Tracy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Brefni Doyle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Patrick Morrison kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Glenn Tracy struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Brefni Doyle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Meenacung. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciarán Perth in the 78th minute of play forced Meenacung's goalkeeper Darragh McMichel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Darragh McMichel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciarán Perth in the 80th minute of play. Dermod Ghee received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Darragh McMichel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Darragh McMichel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dermod Ghee in the 90th minute of the match. Dermod Ghee sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Leap FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Meenacung had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
