Lewy Palmer scored 0-1 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Brasil McBjarton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 9th match minute, Raheenagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Becc Cooney to maneuver through the defense. Bressal Deery was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 10th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 13th minute, Beamard McSteven made a precise shot to the right of Brasil McBjarton. Raheenagh's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Raheenagh's Don Barrett shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 16th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Terence O'Down but with some difficulty. Bevin Cassin got in the 18th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Terence O'Down handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After having played for 29 minutes, Lewy Palmer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Glengarriff's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lewy Palmer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reagan Coyle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Irving Dimson hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Beamard McSteven fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brasil McBjarton having to interfere. Terence O'Down took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bevin Cassin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raheenagh's Reagan Coyle got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Raheenagh players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Glengarriff were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Beamard McSteven stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Glengarriff was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ailín Doyle to maneuver through the defense. When Beamard McSteven came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Glengarriff fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Beamard McSteven couldn't finish the play. Terence O'Down showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reagan Coyle in the 59th minute of the match. Terence O'Down showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reagan Coyle, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. After taking down the ball on Raheenagh's corner Blaire McPaul fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Terence O'Down quite easily take care of the ball. Bevin Cassin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Terence O'Down having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Reagan Coyle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Glengarriff's Artuir McCollion got his second yellow card of the match in the 77th minute. The referee ordered Artuir McCollion off the ground. Terence O'Down breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Terence O'Down stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reagan Coyle's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Terence O'Down showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reagan Coyle in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Bevin Cassin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Raheenagh fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. The Raheenagh supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Glengarriff's performance. The match ended with a win for Glengarriff.
