A collision led to Chapeltown getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Ryleigh Dunne hit a great ball. Baoithin Ramsey received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Barran Keegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brendanus Sheridan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Beltany Mullan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rathglass's supporters rose to their feet, but Beltany Mullan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barran Keegan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beltany Mullan scored 1-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Barran Keegan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 30 played minutes Chapeltown got a freekick which was hit by Ardán McPaul. Rathglass's Birr Tierney shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 31st minute of play. The shot was stopped by Barran Keegan but with some difficulty. In the 34th minute, Chapeltown's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Beltany Mullan fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 39 played minutes, Chapeltown's Bat McJon shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Beollan McSteven came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Chapeltown reached it. Donlevy McLian sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bressail McBjarton was the one to do the kick off. Barran Keegan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brendanus Sheridan's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. When Ardán McPaul fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chapeltown's protests and gave Ardán McPaul a yellow card for diving instead. In the 56th minute, Ardán McPaul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 57th minute, Birr Tierney sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Chapeltown's Barran Keegan didn't even have to move. When the match clock showed 64 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Beltany Mullan sped through Chapeltown's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Barran Keegan. The supporters of Rathglass booed when Chapeltown was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ardán McPaul didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Chapeltown defense, Brendanus Sheridan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Barran Keegan. The Chapeltown fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Barran Keegan should have stopped the shot. One of Rathglass:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chapeltown:s goal. In the 80th match minute, Rathglass was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lee McFrancise to maneuver through the defense. Chapeltown's Barran Keegan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Brendanus Sheridan in the 83rd minute of play.
