After 14 minutes, Coileán Kirby mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sessiagh Utd and the Killachonna players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sessiagh Utd getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Coileán Kirby hit a great ball. Tiomoid Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryley McDonald having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Braedon Benson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Killachonna fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Tiomoid Prunty fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryley McDonald having to interfere. Shannon Mulvihill made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Fiachra O'Down sent off a good shot on target. Braedon Benson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, Braedon Benson had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ryley McDonald. Sessiagh Utd's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Braedon Benson was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 35th minute, Sessiagh Utd's Fiachra O'Down dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Braedon Benson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryley McDonald having to interfere. Tiomoid Prunty scored 1-3 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ryley McDonald, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Braedon Benson made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Sessiagh Utd's Emmet Sheridan got a free kick in the 52nd minute. After 56 played minutes Sessiagh Utd got a freekick which was hit by Fiachra O'Down. Kevin Willson hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Ryley McDonald made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Tiomoid Prunty sent off a good shot on target. After 65 minutes, Peadair McGlynn mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sessiagh Utd and the Killachonna players grew even worse after the yellow card. 68 minutes into the match, Killachonna's goal looked a bit too open when Fiachra O'Down came free, but Shannon Mulvihill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boroimhe Brennan scored 2-3 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Shannon Mulvihill, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tiomoid Prunty could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Ryley McDonald made a huge save. Fiachra O'Down sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Killachonna's goal looked a bit too open when Boroimhe Brennan came free, but Shannon Mulvihill reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fiachra O'Down had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute, Boroimhe Brennan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Killachonna had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
