Spectators: 6765 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1765, VIP seats: 0) Beehan McCready made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 11th minute, Beehan McCready got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 13 minutes, Boylan Hunt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riversdale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Boylan Hunt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Desmond O'Brien came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Riversdale's Boylan Hunt. But to his dismay, Boylan Hunt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Desmond O'Brien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beehan McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 32 played minutes Riversdale got a freekick which was hit by Pierson Rogers. In the 35th minute, Keeghan Murphy hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ennis Silke was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 35th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Beehan McCready took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Desmond O'Brien. Desmond O'Brien dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Desmond O'Brien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beehan McCready in the 43rd minute of play. Boylan Hunt took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Desmond O'Brien. Desmond O'Brien dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Blaine O'Down to make the kick off. Riversdale's Boylan Hunt got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Desmond O'Brien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beehan McCready in the 57th minute of the match. Blaine O'Down's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antaine McIan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. After 60 played minutes Riversdale got a freekick which was hit by Bowen Coyle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Gouldavoher fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! In the 70th minute there was a penalty for Riversdale. Ennis Silke stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Desmond O'Brien. 0-4. After 76 minutes of play, Riversdale's Boylan Hunt made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Desmond O'Brien was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Gouldavoher defense, Bowen Coyle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Desmond O'Brien. The Gouldavoher fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Desmond O'Brien should have stopped the shot. When Gouldavoher's Bohannon Byrne in the 84th minute got a chance for a shot 84th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Riversdale's goalie prevented a goal. Bohannon Byrne sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phelan McStephen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gouldavoher's goalkeeper Desmond O'Brien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Beehan McCready received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 99th minute. Desmond O'Brien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Riversdale's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
