Spectators: 6774 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Phelan Johnson started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Berrin McWillie had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caroll Rutherford. Myrtlegrove's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Berrin McWillie was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Caroll Rutherford came out of the goal in the 7th minute to try and stop a shot by Skenahincha FC's Berrin McWillie. But to his dismay, Berrin McWillie quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 14 minutes into the match, Skenahincha FC's goalkeeper Suibhne Branson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Liam Barrett. Harrigan Horgan kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Caroll Rutherford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Berrin McWillie in the 16th minute of play. Berrin McWillie received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Caroll Rutherford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Skenahincha FC booed when Myrtlegrove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Barrett didn't get a good kick on the ball. Caroll Rutherford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Berrin McWillie in the 24th minute of the match. In the 26th minute Ciarán Murphy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caroll Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skenahincha FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Breck Mullan in the 27th minute. The corner led Skenahincha FC's Breck Mullan to fire away a dangerous shot which Caroll Rutherford despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 34 played minutes Myrtlegrove got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin Deery. Berrin McWillie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Ciarán Murphy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciarán Murphy in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caroll Rutherford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Phelan Johnson was extremely unlucky when he, in the 43rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 45th minute Berrin McWillie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caroll Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Myrtlegrove's zone, Berrin McWillie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caroll Rutherford came out of the goal and Berrin McWillie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Myrtlegrove players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Skenahincha FC were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciarán Murphy made a kick off. Harrigan Horgan charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Harrigan Horgan the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Harrigan Horgan kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Myrtlegrove's goal looked a bit too open when Ciarán Murphy came free, but Caroll Rutherford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciarán Murphy in the 58th minute of play forced Myrtlegrove's goalkeeper Caroll Rutherford to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Berrin McWillie came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Skenahincha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berrin McWillie couldn't finish the play. In the 63rd minute, Skenahincha FC's Ciarán Murphy ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Caroll Rutherford. Caroll Rutherford yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Caroll Rutherford showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciarán Murphy in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Ciarán Murphy left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Skenahincha FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-4. Suibhne Branson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Phelan Johnson in the 76th minute of play. Suibhne Branson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Phelan Johnson, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If Phelan Johnson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciarán Murphy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Caroll Rutherford read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ciarán Murphy in the 93rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Caroll Rutherford prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Liam Barrett sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Myrtlegrove supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Skenahincha FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Skenahincha FC.
