In the 33rd minute, Gerald Kirby got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute Dermot McDonald shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iarla McDonald saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gerald Kirby's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Beagan Harkin firmly grabbed it by the left post. Tathan McStephen 's late challenge caught a Coolbanagher's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tathan McStephen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Spaville getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Tathan McStephen hit a great ball. Beagan Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ryley Gollogley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Coolbanagher players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
