Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Lee McGlynn made the kick off which started today's match. Boylan Hunt was extremely unlucky when he, in the 3rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Beehan McCready received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Beagan Harkin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boylan Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beagan Harkin having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Beehan McCready fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Beagan Harkin, passed just outside the right post. If Boylan Hunt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Beagan Harkin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beehan McCready, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Pierson Rogers hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Riversdale's zone, Lee McGlynn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antaine McIan came out of the goal and Lee McGlynn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dermot McDonald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 27 minutes into the match, Riversdale's goal looked a bit too open when Lee McGlynn came free, but Antaine McIan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Riversdale getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Garrett Duggan hit a great ball. Boylan Hunt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beagan Harkin having to interfere. In the 36th minute, Bragan Dunne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bowen Coyle blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Beagan Harkin having to make a save. Antaine McIan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lee McGlynn in the 44th minute of play. Spaville's Lee McGlynn got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Beehan McCready made a kick off. Bragan Dunne hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Beagan Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boylan Hunt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beehan McCready sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Riversdale booed when Spaville was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Loughlin Rogers didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 71 minutes, Bowen Coyle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Riversdale's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bowen Coyle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bragan Dunne hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. In the 77th minute Beehan McCready shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beagan Harkin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Lee McGlynn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Beagan Harkin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Beehan McCready, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Beagan Harkin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Beehan McCready in the 86th minute of play. Spaville's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
