Spectators: 6776 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1776, VIP seats: 0) Iarla McDonald was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Liam Barrett showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 4 minute of play. Phelan Johnson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Iarla McDonald came out and tried to block the shot, but Phelan Johnson slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 7th minute. Coolbanagher's Iarla McDonald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Phelan Johnson in the 11th minute of play. Caroll Rutherford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Duggan in the 12th minute of play. Aron Duggan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Gerald Kirby managed to get in a good position for a shot. Coolbanagher's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerald Kirby was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caroll Rutherford breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Branigan McPhilip during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Myrtlegrove getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Branigan McPhilip hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Myrtlegrove's zone, Gerald Kirby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caroll Rutherford came out of the goal and Gerald Kirby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Coolbanagher getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Bannon Ryan hit a great ball. Myrtlegrove's Benjamin Deery couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Coolbanagher. 25 minutes into the game, Gerald Kirby cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Caroll Rutherford was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Myrtlegrove's zone, Gerald Kirby stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caroll Rutherford came out of the goal and Gerald Kirby tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the match, Myrtlegrove's goal looked a bit too open when Aron Duggan came free, but Caroll Rutherford reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerald Kirby fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caroll Rutherford having to interfere. In the 36th minute Gerald Kirby shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caroll Rutherford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 36 played minutes Myrtlegrove got a freekick which was hit by Berry McNamee. Gerald Kirby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caroll Rutherford made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aron Duggan in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aron Duggan was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Aron Duggan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Coolbanagher's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aron Duggan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Liam Barrett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Gerald Kirby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Coolbanagher's Aron Duggan got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Berry McNamee's late challenge caught a Coolbanagher's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Berry McNamee helped the player get up and apologised. In the 63rd minute, Berry McNamee hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 67 minutes, Liam Barrett managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Myrtlegrove's supporters crossed their fingers, but Liam Barrett was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ryley Gollogley kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Caroll Rutherford showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aron Duggan, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Branigan McPhilip was shown his second yellow card after 80 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 81 played minutes Myrtlegrove got a freekick which was hit by Branigan McPhilip. In the 84th match minute, Myrtlegrove was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Phelan Johnson to maneuver through the defense. Coolbanagher's Gerald Kirby got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 91st minute of the match, Aron Duggan tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Caroll Rutherford saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 2-3 when Gerald Kirby sped through Myrtlegrove's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Caroll Rutherford. Coolbanagher's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
