Aaron McGlenn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Lorcan McNamee tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lorcan McNamee stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Braoin Costello's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Grogagh's Lorcan McNamee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Braoin Costello in the 30th minute of play. Kinsaley FC's Braoin Costello managed to work through Grogagh's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Braoin Costello dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. In the 35th match minute, Grogagh was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boyne McPhilip to maneuver through the defense. Breaghdha Gallagher struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Caolán McDecland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grogagh. When Tormaigh Keegan came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Kinsaley FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tormaigh Keegan couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 56th minute Banban Mulvihill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caolán McDecland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Grogagh were awarded a corner in the 57th minute after Kinsaley FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Theobald Dunne took the corner. After having played for 63 minutes, Braoin Costello managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kinsaley FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Braoin Costello was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grogagh's defense didn't have a chance, in the 64th minute, when Braoin Costello scored to the left of an out of position Lorcan McNamee, making the score, 0-1. Lorcan McNamee was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Braoin Costello showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 69 minute of play. Caolán McDecland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boyne McPhilip, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Tormaigh Keegan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Kinsaley FC's Caolán McDecland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Breaghdha Gallagher in the 87th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Kinsaley FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
