John Ryan might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reilley Walker. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. John Ryan ran back to his position shaking his head. Paud Gollogley hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. After 6 minutes, Kevis McBrand mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kilgolagh Utd and the Cloncagh players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Kevis McBrand hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute of the match Robert Kirby sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Reilley Walker skillfully saved the ball. Cloncagh's Bressal Lavine got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 14 minutes, Dillon Hutton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kilgolagh Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dillon Hutton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. John Ryan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 20 minutes into the match, Kilgolagh Utd's Dillon Hutton sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Barhart McCollion narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 25th match minute, Kilgolagh Utd was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Braeden Barrett to maneuver through the defense. Paud Gollogley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Dillon Hutton came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Kilgolagh Utd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dillon Hutton couldn't finish the play. Reilley Walker took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bressal Lavine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Cloncagh's Boudibiua McOliver got a free kick in the 47th minute. Jonathan McDecland didn't quite understand what happened when in the 49 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Bressal Lavine made the kick off in the second half. Reilley Walker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bressal Lavine in the 57th minute of play. The supporters of Kilgolagh Utd booed when Cloncagh was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ryon McSteve didn't get a good kick on the ball. Barhart McCollion showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paud Gollogley, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. If Paud Gollogley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, John Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cloncagh's supporters crossed their fingers, but John Ryan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 82 minutes into the game, Brennon McFrank was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kilgolagh Utd's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cloncagh the free kick. Barhart McCollion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paud Gollogley in the 88th minute of the match. Barhart McCollion stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Paud Gollogley's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Paud Gollogley took a quick shot and it went in 0-3 without a chance for Barhart McCollion to make any attempt to save it. Kilgolagh Utd played a much better game than Cloncagh and deserved their victory. The Cloncagh players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
