Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Samuel Kelly started the match with the kick off. Séamus McOliver's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 4thth minute, Boru Keegan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. With his leg Boru Keegan managed to avoid a goal in the 6thth minute, when Knockstopher's Séamus McOliver fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After 8 minutes, Séamus McOliver made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Gortnagroagh's Boru Keegan tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 12 minutes, Séamus McOliver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Knockstopher's supporters crossed their fingers, but Séamus McOliver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Samuel Kelly recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Séamus McOliver in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Boru Keegan saved Gortnagroagh from getting behind. Barran McBrandon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 22 minutes of play, Knockstopher's Séamus McOliver made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boru Keegan was left in no man's land by his defense there! Herne Cronin might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Binne McLaughlin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herne Cronin ran back to his position shaking his head. Samuel Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Binne McLaughlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 34 minutes, Séamus McOliver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hayes Gollogley during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hayes Gollogley kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Séamus McOliver made a kick off. If Séamus McOliver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Herne Cronin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Binne McLaughlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Barran McBrandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Herne Cronins short, quick shot in the 65thth minute got Binne McLaughlin to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Binne McLaughlin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Kelly, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Séamus McOliver scored 6-0 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boru Keegan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 70 minutes into the match, Knockstopher's goal looked a bit too open when Samuel Kelly came free, but Binne McLaughlin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Samuel Kelly's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Binne McLaughlin read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. Séamus McOliver received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Boru Keegan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Beartlai McSteve had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Boru Keegan. Gortnagroagh's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Beartlai McSteve was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-0. After 77 played minutes Knockstopher got a freekick which was hit by Barran McBrandon. If Herne Cronin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 81 minutes into the game, Rordan Colwell was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gortnagroagh's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knockstopher the free kick. After 81 played minutes Gortnagroagh got a freekick which was hit by Rordan Colwell. After 84 minutes, Shiel McFrank mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gortnagroagh and the Knockstopher players grew even worse after the yellow card. Shiel McFrank hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Gortnagroagh's zone, Séamus McOliver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boru Keegan came out of the goal and Séamus McOliver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. During the 88th minute of the match Hayes Gollogley completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hayes Gollogley a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Samuel Kelly received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Binne McLaughlin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barran McBrandon kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
