An unexpectedly hard shot by Pearce Gillmour in the 10th minute of play forced Ballydevill FC's goalkeeper Donald Colwell to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Ballydevill FC booed when Glenatlucky was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Berk Mulvihill didn't get a good kick on the ball. Donavin Keegan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Timmons Willson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute Irwin Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Donald Colwell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Glenatlucky's goalkeeper Timmons Willson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donavin Keegan. Donald Colwell showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Irwin Rogers, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 25th minute, Bedilia Dunne made a precise shot to the right of Donald Colwell. Ballydevill FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Donavin Keegan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Timmons Willson made a huge save. Timmons Willson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Branson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Baran McWillie fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Glenatlucky's protests and gave Baran McWillie a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd minute, Baran McWillie hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gil Branson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Timmons Willson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The wind increased when Donavin Keegan made the kick off in the second half. Gil Branson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Timmons Willson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donavin Keegan in the 53rd minute of the match. Bearnad McJon hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Glenatlucky's zone, Gil Branson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Timmons Willson came out of the goal and Gil Branson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Coran Ghee hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. When Peadar McFrancise came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Glenatlucky fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Peadar McFrancise couldn't finish the play. 96 minutes into the match, Ballydevill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Irwin Rogers came free, but Donald Colwell reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Although Ballydevill FC had been in control for most of the match, Glenatlucky still came away with the win.
